What drove each step
A strong crypto core, and not much else.
Round-3 security hardening: the seed-exfil egress hole closed, recovery-sweep bound to authenticated keys, a CI integrity gate on the vendored PQ crypto. Rock-solid signing, but a single third-party explorer saw every address, and there were no artifacts, no failover, no own node.
Safer by default, easier to hold.
Encrypted backups became the default, the master key stayed hidden until you revealed it, wrong-passphrase throttling, and congestion-aware fee presets. Usability and backup safety climbed. The privacy picture was unchanged.
Your NFTs stopped being spendable by accident.
Carrier-burn protection: before every send the wallet checks each coin so it never spends the tiny coin an artifact rides on. The biggest fund-safety leap of the series, and the reason the pre-send check now takes a moment.
The wallet got its own eyes on the chain.
Chain data now comes from our own node (api.btxscan.io) first, with automatic failover to two community servers, and the free-text explorer field is gone, so egress is pinned to trusted origins. Privacy and resilience jumped together. This is the step that moved the composite most.
Real artwork, and three audit passes deep.
Relics show their real pictures, the qID proof is readable, and "Set passphrase" proves the new seal reopens before it touches the old one. Three adversarial audit rounds found and fixed real bugs, including a key surviving auto-lock. Usability and safety both up, and unencrypted wallets are now clearly flagged.

One-click qID Connect (the WalletConnect of BTX) opens straight to a focused sign-in card, works even when the app was closed on Mac, and a login proof can never move your funds. A new bonuz shimmer theme, a balance that animates on refresh, relics that open inline from History, and a clearer message when a carrier coin is protecting an artifact. Usability's biggest single step; safety and privacy hold at their already-high marks, still gated on the independent audit.
What the scores don't claim
- No independent human audit yet. The AI review passes raise the floor; they are not the certificate. Hack-safety is capped around 8.5 until a third party signs off. That is the gate before any hard public launch.
- Installation is the flattest axis. Downloads are manual with SHA verification, macOS builds aren't notarized, there's no app store. It works and it's honest, but it isn't frictionless.
- A safe version is not a safe wallet. A wallet created without a passphrase still stores its seed unencrypted on disk. The code now makes that visible and safe to fix, but only the holder can close it.
